East Allen Communities Installing Murals As Part Of East Allen's Rural Revival
Several of East Allen’s communities are installing murals this summer and fall as part of the East Allen Rural Revival Regional Development Plan. According to Kent Castleman, NewAllen’s Board President, 'The murals are a way to pull together the $65M regional investment portfolio in a visible and meaningful way.
NewAllen Downtowns Receiving a Revitalization Boost Due to Stellar Funds
Grabill, Leo-Cedarville, and Woodburn are collectively moving forward with downtown streetscape improvement projects as part of the East Allen Rural Revival Regional Development Initiative with the help of $2M in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding through the region’s Indiana Regional Stellar Communities Designation.
Stellar funded, Kady Gene Cove Phase 1 Housing Development nears completion
The NewAllen Alliance is excited to announce that Phase 1 of the Kady Gene Cove affordable senior housing development is nearing completion in New Haven, Indiana. This $8M project is part of NewAllen’s East Allen Rural Revival Regional Development Portfolio and has received affordable housing tax credits from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority made available through New Allen’s Indiana Regional Stellar Community Designation.

The Town of Leo-Cedarville plans to break ground on a streetscape revitalization project in old downtown Leo
This past spring, Leo-Cedarville was awarded $750,000 in funding by
the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) through the Stellar Communities Program. This project is a component of NewAllen’s East Allen Rural Revival Regional Development Plan, which led the region to being named an Indiana Regional Stellar Community Designee in 2018.
The Monroeville Community Park Improvements Project is complete!
Officials with the Town of Monroeville are excited to announce the completion of the Monroeville Community Park Improvements Project. This project is the first completed of many quality of life projects underway within East Allen’s Rural Revival Regional Development Initiative.
