Kady Gene Cove – Phase I

Kady Gene Cove is a new housing development within New Haven’s Meadowbrook Rural Revival Target area.  Phase I will consist of 50 duplex units leased to seniors aged 55 and older.  The development will also be income restricted as affordable housing and available to households making 80% or less of the Allen County area median income.  All units will have two bedrooms and will be fully accessible or adaptable for those with disabilities or mobility impairments. All units will have a one-car garage; a full kitchen with oven, range, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and garbage disposal; two full bathrooms; washer and dryer; and front porch and rear patio.

Kady Gene Cove Phase I will be developed with amenities chosen to suit the needs of its senior residents. A network of interconnecting sidewalks, with front lawns and backyards around each unit, will create a pleasant neighborhood atmosphere that will blend in with the existing homes surrounding the development site. A community building will also be built on site, and it will include a leasing office, fitness center, and multi-purpose community room with full kitchen. The Meadowbrook Trail – a dedicated pedestrian and bicycle path – will also cross the property and connect it to the New Haven Community Center, shopping, community services, restaurants, and recreational opportunities to the north.

Kady Gene Cove Phase I is expected to begin construction in April of 2020 and be completed by June of 2021.

Kady Gene Cove – Phase II

Kady Gene Cove Phase II will consist of 50 duplex units.  All units will be 2 bedrooms available for lease and will be not be income or age restricted.  All units will have a two-car garage; a full kitchen with oven, range, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and garbage disposal; two full bathrooms; and front porch and rear patio.  Residents of Kady Gene Cove will have access to the leasing office located on Phase I and to the future Meadowbrook Trail through interconnecting sidewalks.

Kady Gene Cove Phase II is expected to begin construction by June 2021 and be completed by June 2022.
